Sonoma County Health Officer extends Heat Advisory
In response to the National Weather Service’s extension of the Excessive Heat Warning for much of the county, Sonoma County Health Officer Dr. Tanya Phares has extended the countywide Heat Advisory that began Tuesday, July 2 to Tuesday, July 9. Sonoma County opens cooling centers for high heat warning this week
Cooling centers, where residents can escape the heat, will be available at several locations in Sonoma County beginning Tuesday as the Sonoma County Department of Emergency Management activates its extreme temperature response. The National Weather Service has issued a High Heat Warning as temperatures will reach triple digits in some parts of Sonoma County for six consecutive days beginning Tuesday at 11 a.m. Read full story

Notice of Cancellation of Public Hearing: Sonoma County Housing Authority PHA Administrative Plan Update
The Sonoma County Community Development Commission, in its capacity as the governing body of the Sonoma County Housing Authority, has cancelled the public hearing related to the PHA Administrative Plan Update originally scheduled August 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The public hearing will be rescheduled in early 2025. Sonoma County Health Officer issues Heat Advisory
County of Sonoma Health Officer Dr. Tanya Phares has issued a Heat Advisory in response to the National Weather Service’s Excessive Heat Warning for much of the county from Tuesday morning, July 2 through Friday evening, July 5. Concurrently, a red flag warning is also in effect from Monday at 11 p.m. through Wednesday at 5 p.m. Read full story
Sonoma County achieves record-high net assessment roll of more than $120 billion
Sonoma County Clerk-Recorder-Assessor Deva Marie Proto announced today that the county's net assessment roll has reached an unprecedented high of $120,459,402,383. This marks a 5.22 percent increase compared to last year’s assessment roll, reflecting the value of all real and business property as of Jan. 1. The 2024-25 assessment roll has been officially delivered to the Sonoma County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector. Read full story
