Public Hearing Notice – Federal Funding Policies - September 20, 2023

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review proposed revisions to Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Funding Policies for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Low Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) programs. Board of Supervisors approves Municipal Greenhouse Gas Inventory as baseline for climate resilience, adaptation

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today approved an inventory of its greenhouse gas emissions that showed a 37 percent decrease in emissions from 2017 to 2021. Officials attribute the decrease primarily to impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The approval of the County of Sonoma Municipal Greenhouse Gas Inventory followed a status update and public workshop on progress toward the Climate Action and Resiliency pillar of the County’s strategic plan. The Sonoma County Department of Health Services today issued the following health advisory: Health officials urge Sonoma County residents to limit outdoor activity due to the poor air quality caused by wildfire events throughout Northern California. Human Services Department’s Paulin Drive office and call center set for one-day closure on September 1

The Sonoma County Human Services Department will close its economic assistance office at 2550 Paulin Drive in Santa Rosa and its telephone service center at (877) 699-6868 on Friday, Sept. 1 while the department completes upgrades to a critical software system over Labor Day weekend. Read full story
