Sonoma County announces Health Resource Fair at Mitote Food Park in Santa Rosa
The County of Sonoma, in partnership with local health care providers and community organizations, is hosting a Health Resource Fair on Saturday April 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mitote Food Park at 635 Sebastopol Road in Santa Rosa. Read full story

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission will be holding a concurrent public hearing to consider applications submitted for several different sources of funding: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), HOME Community Housing Development Organization (HOME-CHDO), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), CDBG Cares Act (CDBG-CV), and Low and Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF). Main Street Bridge Dutch Bill Creek Storm Damage - 3/29
Our Public Infrastructure road maintenance team found structural damage to the Main Street bridge over Dutch Bill Creek in Monte Rio near Villa Grande. We believe that a large tree hit the piles and caused the structural damage. Our engineering team has been on site to evaluate the damage. Out of an abundance of caution SoCoPi is closing the east bound lane and a detour will be put into place. Read full story

Sonoma County, nonprofit partner awarded $500,000 to promote free internet service for low-income households
The Sonoma County Economic Development Board has been awarded $300,000 from the Federal Communications Commission to expand local enrollment in the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program, which provides free and discounted internet service to low-income households. Read full story

Probation Staff Recently Participated in Two Community Events
Members of the Sonoma County Probation Department recently participated in two community events. The Sonoma State University Spring Career Fest on March 10, 2023 was a wonderful opportunity for staff to connect with local college students and share all of the exciting career paths offered throughout our department. SoCoAlert emergency alert exercise in northwest Sonoma County on Thursday
Thursday, Sonoma County will be conducting a test of the SoCoAlert emergency notification system at noon in northwest Sonoma County. The County Department of Emergency Management and partners have collaborated on planning the exercise and conducting outreach in the targeted areas. Testing the efficiency of messaging to Spanish speaking residents was a priority for the exercise planners. Read full story
