ColdWeather Warming Centers Open Overnight November 20

The County of Sonoma issued a cold weather advisory as temperatures are predicted to fall into the 30s tonight. For residents without heat due to the power shutoff, an overnight Warming Center will open at 8 p.m., allowing visitors to warm up and charge devices, such as cell phones. Unlike emergency shelters, no cots for sleeping will be provided. Read full story

District Attorney Jill Ravitch announced that a grant from theCalifornia Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) will enable the Sonoma CountyDistrict Attorney’s Office to continue a specialized team to prosecute alcoholand drug-impaired driving cases. Fire Debris Removal Deadlines and TrainingAnnounced

The County of Sonoma has established deadlines for property ownersto clear Kincade Fire debris following completion of the county sponsoredHousehold Hazardous Waste sweep. Property owners must submit a debris removalapplication form and site work plan by January 31, 2020. All components ofdebris removal, including soil testing, must be completed by May 15, 2020.
