The Sonoma County Behavioral Health Division is hosting a job fair on November 9 to recruit for multiple open clinical positions. Potential candidates are encouraged to pre-apply for a position by November 1. Participants who register, pre-apply and meet the minimum qualifications for the applicable job classification, will be given an opportunity to participate in an in-person interview during the fair on November 9. Organifi Settles Violations Related to False Advertising of Dietary Supplements

District Attorney Carla Rodriguez announced today that her office, as part of the California Food, Drug, and Medical Device Task Force, settled a consumer protection action against Organifi, LLC. The case was filed in Monterey County Superior Court by the District Attorney’s offices of Alameda, Marin, Monterey, Napa, Orange, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Solano, and Sonoma Counties, which together comprise the task force. The civil complaint alleges that the company made false or misleading advertising claims for its dietary supplements, including that the supplements could balance hormone and cortisol levels, regulate the parasympathetic nervous system, and replace bad bacteria with good bacteria. More than 1,700 individuals received financial assistance during January storms, county report shows

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday received an update on the emergency financial assistance support provided during the 2023 winter storms. A total of $812,853 was distributed from the Immediate Needs Fund to those impacted most by the winter storms. Read full story

Sonoma County residents are invited to participate in a community forum to learn about the access to incarcerated persons and the information that the Sheriff’s Office provides to federal immigration authorities. Board of Supervisors approves plan for electric bus charging facility at Sonoma County Transit

The Board of Supervisors today approved plans for the construction of a 19-space electric bus charging facility at Sonoma County Transit located on West Robles Avenue in Santa Rosa. The new facility will provide charging for 30-foot, 35-foot, and 40-foot battery-electric transit buses in compliance with state regulations that require transit operators to transition their fleets to zero-emission vehicles by 2040.
