Registrar of Voters Announces November 30 Deadline for Voters to “Cure” Ballot Signature Issues from November General Election

Sonoma County Registrar of Voters (ROV) Deva Marie Proto is alerting Sonoma County voters who participated in the November 2022 General Election and were notified that their ballots were challenged due to missing or mismatched signatures that their ballots will likely not be counted unless the ROV Office receives the appropriate signature “cure” forms by 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on November 30. MURDERER SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE

Defendant Robert Lee Randolph, 36 years old of Philadelphia, was sentenced today by the Honorable Christopher Honigsberg for two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder. The Defendant was convicted after jury trial of all charges, special allegations and enhancements, which included use of a firearm causing great bodily injury or death. Read full story

Sonoma County Board of Supervisors receives five-year fiscal forecast

Sonoma County is projecting a General Fund deficit of $13 million during the 2024-25 fiscal year with more annual deficits to follow through 2025, Deputy County Administrator Peter Bruland informed the Board of Supervisors as part of his five-year fiscal forecast Tuesday. The projection is based on an anticipated decrease in property tax growth, reductions in one-time funding, and an increase in pension costs due to investment declines in pension funds.
