Registrar ofVoters Seeks Public Feedback on Voting Locations
The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office is requesting public feedback on proposed in-person voting locations, as well as secure ballot drop boxes, for the Nov. 3 General Election. Feedback will be accepted through Monday, August 24, 2020. A map of these proposed locations, as well as other data, can be found on the Registrar of Voters’ website. Read full story

SonomaCounty Clerk-Recorder-Assessor Deva Marie Proto has delivered the assessmentroll to the Sonoma County Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector. The netassessment roll for 2020-21 is $98,573,706,364 with an increase of 4.67 percentover 2019-20. The assessment roll reflects the value of all real and businessproperty as of Jan. 1, 2020. Late on Wednesday, GovernorGavin Newsom issued an Executive Order extending the tax filing deadline forBusiness Personal Property Tax Statements from May 7, 2020 to May 31, 2020.This extension gives business owners, required to file, another three weeks tosubmit their statements without penalty, Assessor Deva Marie Proto, announcedtoday.
