Rent Guide
The chart below shows the approximate rents the Sonoma County Housing Authority will allow for rents by area and bedroom size.
- The amount of rent the Housing Authority can approve for a unit depends on the condition of the unit, rents being charged in that area, the income of the participant family, and the utilities the participant family is responsible for paying. See the Housing Authority's current payment standards.
- The Housing Authority cannot allow a participant to rent a unit that will cause their rent portion to be higher than 40% of their monthly-adjusted income.
- Sonoma County has sub-market areas. Rents being charged in certain sub-markets may be lower than other parts of the County.
