What is Procurement? 

Most funds received by HSD are from federal and state allocations, grants, tax measures, and other sources of revenue generated by its departments. To award funds to a vendor, HSD must typically follow County, State, and Federal procurement requirements.  This ensures a fair and competitive process and supports good stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
