Overview

Established in 2017-2018, the South County Center in Petaluma is a cross-divisional service site providing safety net services to the local community.  

Vision

To promote a healthier community by increasing accessibility to HSD programs and local resources for all. 

Mission

The South County Center is dedicated to providing a localized, no wrong door approach to service delivery of HSD programs.  The SCC focuses on maximizing services needed by the community through collaobration with all HSD divisions and local community-based organizations. 

Values

1.  Increasing accessibility to HSD services and programs.  SCC provides location-based services to clients to decrease transportation barriers.  The lobby also serves as the connective tissue between all HSD programs and visions to directly increase accessibility to HSD programs. 

2.  Community Resource.  SCC is committed to being a valued community resources to both clients and local community-based organizations to help further our mission and deepen our connections with the community.  This broadens our ability to support the overall well-being of the community. 

3.  Advancement of Diversity and Racial Equity.  SCC is committed to advancing the diversity and racial equity values of the Department by supporting a culture of inclusion, belonging and support, where our difefrences are celebrated for staff and families. 

4.  Support to HSD Divisions and Staff.  SCC is a branch of all HSD divions and provides support wherever possible and collaborating to continuosly improve program accessibility.  SCC also supports staff with a balanced staffing model that meets business and operational needs by providing workspace options for local staff in addition to onsite office support and accessibility to SCC resources. 

5. Continuous Process / Service Improvement.  SCC is committed to establishing performances for general operations and each division at SCC.  The purpose of service metrics is to monitor the effectiveness and success of SCC and promote continuous process improvement initiatives relating to available onsite services, staffing and support.
