Message From County Administrator
Published: May 14, 2020
Dear County Staff,
As we approach the second month of sheltering in place, many of you may be asking how soon we will be able to return to some form of normalcy. Truly getting back to any resemblance of normal will be a slow process and much of it will be guided by the Governor’s Pandemic Resilience Roadmap (PDF) and key health indicators.
I want to take this opportunity to share that we are continuing to take steps to ensure the safety of our employees both now and as we increase services and staffing in the coming weeks. In coordination with Human Resources and the Public Health Officer, we are enhancing current COVID-19 risk mitigation protocols, establishing clear social distancing guidelines and other public health mitigation and preventive measures in preparation for re-entry.
Re-entry Mitigation Measures Best Practices are being reviewed with department management this week and will serve to assist in developing department specific procedures for individual worksites. Please continue to stay in close contact your manager or supervisor as things continue to evolve.
Finally, while this week we would have held the annual Public Service Recognition lunch to celebrate the contributions of our County family, I want to take a moment to express my sincerest gratitude for your dedication, commitment, and the value you bring every day, and particularly during these difficult times.
Stay strong,
Sheryl
