New Workplace Violence Training Available
Published: September 23, 2016
September 2016 - Target Solutions releases a new training module on Workplace Violence.
Workplace violence has emerged as an important safety and health issue in today's workplace. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Census of Occupational Injuries (CFOI), violent acts made up 18 percent of all fatal work-related injuries in 2005. Death or injury should not be an inevitable result of one's chosen occupation, nor should these staggering figures be accepted as a cost of doing business in our society. This training course has 10 learning modules with a ten-question exam.
After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
- Understand what is known about fatal and nonfatal violence in the workplace to determine the focus needed for prevention.
- Understand what elements should be included in a workplace violence policy.
- Recognize workplace violence issues and implement strategies for prevention.
- Discuss the need for and components of a workplace violence program.
