SEIU Labor Negotiations Summary
Published: March 04, 2019
The County of Sonoma and SEIU representatives devoted three and a half days of bargaining over the past two weeks toward reaching agreement on a successor labor agreement before expiration of the current contract on February 28, 2019. Continuing to meet in the midst of a declared County emergency due to the flooding, the parties worked hard and got close, but unfortunately remain apart on certain key areas. County of Sonoma representatives will meet with the Board of Supervisors on March 12, 2019 to review the status of the open issues and the County’s team hopes to resume discussions with SEIU’s bargaining team shortly thereafter.
